Sometimes you want your map to rest on an aged paper background. There are digital options as I have covered in other posts. Here you will learn how to make your own aged paper background. Found in a social media post by Romulus Stoica. His instructions are as follows:
1. First I have crumpled the paper and soaked it in a cup of black tea for one minute.
2. I let the paper dry, then I poured drops of concentrated black tea in various places...
3. I let it dry an added a few drops of tea if and where needed.
4. Then let it dry completely. After a few days I started drawing with a fountain pen with very dark brown ink.
Here you can see some of the finished product.
